Item Description and Details
The Boat Show Display Stand is used for holding an informational sign for classic, antique, sports, recreational, or power boat shows as well as boat dealerships. Each part is described below:
1. Sign plate--This is the upper plate (shown in Photo # 1) which is designed to hold a variety of sign sizes (8" X 10" up to 20" X 30") at a boat show. It is 8" X 10" is size and made of 1/16 inch aluminum plate.
2. Tape Strips--Two, 4 inch pieces of industrial strength tape strips (shown in Photo # 7) are used to securely hold your sign to the sign plate, even in windy conditions. The tape strips have a sticky side which allows each half of the tape strip to stick securely to the sign plate as well as the back of your sign.
2. Sign post--This part (Shown in Photo # 5) is connected to the dock post, and holds the sign plate in place, with a slip joint and a thumb screw for stability (See photo # 3). The post is made of 1-1/2 inch square stock aluminum. If it rains during a show, the sign and sign plate can quickly be removed from the sign post and stored in your boat. Simply loosen the thumb screw and lift the sign and sign plate upward to remove.
3. Ratchet and strap assembly--This part (Shown in Photo # 4) is called a "ratchet endless loop (no hooks) assembly. It is used to hold the boat show display stand securely to most any diameter dock post (from 1.5" diameter to as large as 9" diameter dock posts). The strap is 36 inches long and 1 inch wide. The ratchet assembly is used to tighten the endless loop strap securely around the dock post.
4. Channel Aluminum--A piece of channel aluminum 8 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 1 inch thick is attached to the lower section of the sign post. It is used to help securely position the display stand against various sizes of dock posts. (See Photo # 8)
5. Powder Coated and Paint Color--All visible aluminum parts, (sign plate, sign posts, and channel aluminum piece), are sand blasted and powder coated "super silver-metallic, for durability and enhanced appearance.
6. Carrying Case--The Boat Show Display Stand is shipped in a cardboard shipping (carrying box). It has a plastic handle (See Photo # 6)that allows the shipping box to be used as a convenient carrying case for storage.

Instructions for Proper Use
1. TO SECURE STAND TO DOCK POST: PLace webbing around the dock post and insert webbing through the ratchet reel as shown in Figure #1 below. Then pull until ALL slack is removed. Pump the ratchet hand as shown in Figure 2# below and wind a minimum of 2 rotations of webbing around the reel to secure the stand to the dock post. Caution: Too many layers of webbing will jam the ratchet. After the stand is secured to the dock post, move handle down flat in the stowed position as shown in Figure #3.

1. TO SECURE STAND TO DOCK POST: PLace webbing around the dock post and insert webbing through the ratchet reel as shown in Figure #1 below. Then pull until ALL slack is removed. Pump the ratchet hand as shown in Figure 2# below and wind a minimum of 2 rotations of webbing around the reel to secure the stand to the dock post. Caution: Too many layers of webbing will jam the ratchet. After the stand is secured to the dock post, move handle down flat in the stowed position as shown in Figure #3.
2. TO RELEASE STAND FROM THE DOCK POST: Pull and compress the spring loaded release bar as shown in Figure #4 below and move ratchet handle 180 degrees to open position. This takes the tension off of the webbing. See Figure #5. Create enough slack to pull the webbing out of the ratchet reel.
